Cincinnati, OH – So Long, Dyna

We have been manifesting a transition for half a year now. And by ‘manifesting’ I mean that I have been manifesting it just like you see the influencers on social media do while Jake has been working through the processes and details and phone calls to make it happen. I’m pretty sure that’s how manifesting works. We bought I manifested a new house! It still has wheels, but two fewer than our old girl. It still has slide-outs; one extra. It’s not got an engine, meaning we’re now a single-engine family. Still diesel though – wouldn’t want to decrease our…

Newport, OH

Two weeks of social interactions left us feeling full. Full of love and full of the desire to go hide somewhere near a river in an RV with our cat. We found ourselves at Harris RV Park, which is cheek by jowl to the Ohio River. The Ohio River plays the parental role for Ohio and West Virginia – separating the two states so that there is no risk of “he’s touching me! His arm is on my side!” We slept in Ohio, which is questionable. Look at statistics. Statistically, Ohio isn’t real. (If we must have conspiracy theories, this…

Cleveland, OH

Disclaimer: This blog was written at a significant delay (December 2018). As in, the delay was so significant, that I don’t feel that I can accurately represent our time at this location in story form. So, I am just going to post photos I captured here and then ramble about some of my clear memories of the place via some bullet points. How did I get so far behind? Well, there was a summer visit from a nephew, and also a giant party in Rochester that needed to be planned for. But, also, if it comes down to blog writing…

Cincinnati, OH

Ok, so we didn’t really ‘do’ Cincinnati. Which is sad, because I heard they have nice chili on top of spaghetti and stuff there. We chose to reset (aka, get life shit done) and be a little lazy over chili on top of spaghetti. Sometimes life hands you chili on top of spaghetti and you throw the chili on top of spaghetti back at life and then hide under a blanket on your couch. We knew we wanted to be in Nashville the first week of October to attend a wedding. Since our departure date from Rochester kept getting pushed…

Oregonia, OH

A quick 150 mile pop over from Louisville to Oregonia, OH, and upon arrival something magical happened. We found no evidence of the oil spewing monster that has been plaguing us since Florida. Woohoo! I don’t know where he went, but I’m glad he’s not hanging out with us anymore. Before leaving Louisville Jake pinned a State Park campground on our map, and we hit ‘navigate’. A few miles from that destination, however, we passed a sign for a campground called ‘Olive Branch‘, got curious, and turned Dyna’s big butt around. It was a good choice; a nice, well kept,…
